Led Zeppelin .... The classic rock band that influenced so many other bands over the years after they first appeared on the scene in 1968 (See Pic Below).
Here they are back in their hay-day in 1975 doing an acoustic number on stage and then 2012 on the David Letterman show.

A couple weeks ago on netflix I came across this movie which I thought was cute and funny and through out the show I kept hearing the music from a band call the Bootstraps who I never heard of before .... To me they have a nice haunting pop sound to their music which I liked. So of course I went on line to Amazon and odered their latest CD where all the songs they did on the movie where there. Attached is a movie trailer, Bootstraps youtube video and a poster of the movie.

Me and my Gal-Pal went dancing this past Saturday to a local band we like called "The Critters" (Here is their website >>> http://www.thecrittersband.com/photos.html). The bass player was out sick so they brought in a good friend to fill in who use to be with a popular band known as "Firefall". His name is Bob Gaffney and he was in the band line up from 1983 to 1987. Got a chance to talk to him during one of the set breaks. Real nice guy who has been in the music business for over 35 years doing session work and now he is involved in some project in Nashville. Below is a Firefall video with Bob in it from the 1980's and a recent picture of him today.
We actually crossed over Moon River in Savannah Ga. in 2009. We rented Paula Deans old home & spent 10 days there. We visited Johnny Mercers grave also. Great place.

It's been a little while since I posted a song here. Here is one I love to play at times on my MP3 player while on the tread mill at the gym. When it comes on I feel like I am gliding in my workout. There is a single girl I just met there who has lost 160 lbs in the last year. She works out everyday for three hours and does some unusual routines .... For example she had ordered some special kind of stilts that work out your leg muscles when walking in them. I could never do that with my bad knee but we have worked out together a couple times now and she has taught me a thing or two. Check her out on the attached picture.
I remember when I first became aware of him was in 1969 when I was 9 my parents had given me his live album at that time as a Christmas present ..... Played the heck out of it. Plus I then saw him on "True Grit" which came out that same year.
He is on tour of the US too with his wife Kids & Band. He was on morning TV in Sept & seems pretty good but laughs about forgetting things but the music comes naturally.

I heard not long ago the sad news that Glen Campbell was diagnosed with Alzheimers and being he knows his time is short has put out his final new recording. I have always loved his classics thanks to my dad back then.
