I totally agree but had to chuckle a little on his final remark "Get the heck out" ..... He mentioned the sensitivity issue and he himself fell into it a little because I'm sure he really wanted to say "Get the HELL out".

Well Fran,
They would have had to remove every single guy that had been on the rock 9 months and living in the barracks then, we all had jousting poles in front of us by that time. (LOL)

When Nixon came to Midway in '69, they took the major crazies off the Island 2--3 months before his visit!!!!!

This guy should have been given a dishonorable discharge and then been under surveilence or locked up well before this happened. How can an officer try to get out of getting deployed to Afghanistan? More than one person dropped the ball and that needs to be looked into.

The Army apparently had this guy under investigation some months ago due
to his postings on the Internet sympathetic to radical Islam.

Have we become so politically correct in this country that we would
allow such a person to continue to serve in our military even if it
means putting our own soldiers at risk?

This is insane!

When I was in the Navy, smoking a single joint might be enough to get you booted out.
