To All,

Bob's bench is on the Hanger Bay just before you exit the Hanger Bay to take the stairs to the Flight Deck. If you get to the Men's head or the Store you have gone too far reverse course. There is a Huge Accrylic [clear] Model of the Midway CV-41 just forward of Bob's Bench.
Judy was very pleased as someone is always setting on Bob's Bench at all our visits.
FYI the Midway just surpassed 3 Million visitors & is the #1 visited attraction in SD since it opened.

We looked at every dwam bench twice--yes, twice--as we looked for Bob's Bench and couldn't find it. So we sorta gave up and left by the available out/off ramp (fogot the salty Navy name) and Viola! It's right at the exit from the forward end of the starboard side of the hanger bay. The only exit at that end I think. It's right near the large acrylic model of the Midway.

Any Midwayites up for the BOM aboard the USS Midway this 04-07 June? It will be the sixty-sixth anniversary of the battle, 04-06 June. The seventh of June will be the fourth anniversary of the carrier's opening and GaryR's covers commemorating that event.

It will also be the effective first anniversary of Bob's Bench installation on the USS Midway.
